Regulation on the professional cross-border transportation of euro cash by road between euro-area Member States
On 16 March 2011, the report of Sophie Auconie (EPP group, France) on the proposal on the professional cross-border transportation of euro cash by road between euro-area Members States has been adopted by the committee of economic and monetary affairs of the European Parliament.
An agreement on this proposal between the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union should be reached before May 2011.

EURICPA elects a New Board
The European Intelligent Cash Protection Association proceeded to the election of its Board on 23 February 2011.
Patrice Rullier, currently Executive Managing Director of Oberthur Cash Protection, was reelected Chairman of the Association.
David Milner, past EURICPA President from 2007 to 2009 and Head of Sales and Marketing at Spinnaker Ltd, was renewed Vice-Chairman.
Etienne Schneider, Managing Director at VILLIGER SECURITY, was renewed as Treasurer of the Association.

Le 18 février, la Commission européenne (DG Marché Intérieur et Services) a publié le compte-rendu de la réunion avec les parties prenantes sur la révision de la directive Blanchiment et les actions à mener par la Commission visant à lutter contre le blanchiment d’argent. Les participants ont notamment discuté des conclusions d’une étude externe dévoilées par la Commission le 24 janvier.

Le 18 février, la Commission européenne (DG Société de l’Information) a ouvert une consultation publique sur la signature électronique, l’identification électronique et l’authentification pour recevoir les positions des principaux acteurs sur la contribution de la signature électronique, de l’identification électronique et de l’authentification à la mise en place d’un marché unique numérique. La consultation est ouverte jusqu’au 15 avril 2011.
